High-performance Fibers

Carbon Fiber & Precursor Fiber

Carbon Fiber are considered as the construction material of the future. They are applied together with a polymeric matrix for lightweight construction purposes e.g. in wind mill rotor blades and E-mobility. Those created structures combine extremely high mechanical strength and stiffness with an incomparable low weight. Today’s carbon fiber are mainly (95 %) made of fossil oil-based polyacrylonitrile (PAN) precursor which bears a high quality of the resulting carbon and a well understood chemistry and process technology. PAN precursor fibers undergo several complex thermal and mechanical process steps during their transformation to carbon fibers.
Portfolio & Purchasing

greenchemtrade has set itself the goal of accelerating the development of cheaper and more sustainable carbon fibres for lightweight construction. Due to our wide and international network we are able to provide tailor-made solutions in this field for your research and development purposes. Our Portfolio encompasses various qualities of carbon fiber precursor from the T300 to T700 class and tow sizes from 3k to up to 50k. Available quantities can range from some grams for lab applications to kT for industrial scale.
